Martin Baas Manager at Hagoort Sails Netherlands:” -I thought it was much more difficult to learn how to use the Q-Bond Mobile Sail Making System. Already at the first day of training we where producing sails. During the afternoon of the first training day we produced a set (head and main) of Flex 16 Aramide sails to our own X-35, and a large light Genoa to a 40 footer made from Contender Maxx carbon aramide. It only took us 2 hours of production time for these first three sails. Hagoort Sails is focusing on, and dominates the local racing market, and currently the business is growing fast. 70% of the turnover is racing sails from own production. A typical Hagoort client is a racing sailor or a performance oriented cruiser. The stability of the sail fabric is a must. Contender Maxx and Dimension-Polyant Flex fabrics are used by Hagoort Sails for sails to boats up to 8 ton.

North Sails Group – Several lofts in the North Sails Group are regular Q-Bond users.

North Sails Loft in Alleröd and in Skjaelsör Denmark use the Q-Bond System for sails to classes in the range from X99 Headsails to large 140 feet One Off boats, as well as to Americas Cup and Volvo Ocean race boats since year 2000. They have produced several thousands of racing sails with the Q-Bond System. North Sails in Denmark uses two stationary units and one mobile from Q-Bond. Largest sail produced by one person with the mobile unit is an 800 square meter gennaker made in Cuben Fiber. The cost for Q-Bond Tape for such a large sails is considered high, but compared to the limited staff needed in material handling and reduced labor cost, the Q-Bond production is considered very efficient and cost saving.

This link shows an example of a sail in North Sails uses the Q-Bond system to joint a sail http://www.northsails.dk/pdf/UKHR225D.pdf
